I coach women through strength, movement, and lifestyle habits that fit real life and create lasting change. My approach coaches the whole person—not just running workouts.
I’ve been teaching strength, cardio, and mind-body formats for over 18 years. My passion for whole-person health led me to complete Health Coach training through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in both 2012 and 2024, shaping how I support women beyond the gym—especially during seasons of hormonal change, stress, and shifting priorities.
Before transitioning fully into fitness, I spent several years as a corporate recruiter. By 2023, the long hours and sedentary work caught up with me. Despite eating clean, I was gaining weight, exhausted, stressed and navigating post-menopause symptoms (up at 2am!). That season reinforced why smart consistent sustainable lifestyle habits and decisions as well as strength training matter so much for midlife women.
I earned my NASM Certified Personal Trainer credential in December 2023, trained in a personal training studio in Apex throughout 2024, and now coach clients from my home gym. I’m an avid lifelong learner, with additional training in Barbell Rehab Method and ongoing coursework through Precision Nutrition.
On a personal note, I’ve been happily married to Todd since 1999 and raised our three daughters here in Apex. My faith is central to my life—in fact, New Strength is inspired by Isaiah 40:31. I love being out in God’s creation, boating, and moving my body in community with lifelong friends I’ve met through the gym. We even host a 6am Bible study at a local gym on Wednesdays. You’re always welcome.
I’m glad you’re here and can’t wait to learn more about you.
